Kate qualified as a professional chiropodist and podiatrist in 2001. She is registered with the Chiropody and Podiatry Association and the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) which is concerned with ensuring that practitioners maintain acceptable levels of practice and carry out regular continuous professional development. The title of chiropodist/podiatrist can only be used by persons registered with the HCPC.
Kate joined the team at the Yew Tree Clinic in 2001 and has a vast wealth of experience in the care of the feet of people of all ages, from the young to the elderly and her bubbly personality has made her a popular team member at the Yew Tree Clinic.
Kate diagnoses and treats both specific foot conditions and regular general foot care. Her qualifications and experience enable her to diagnose and treat foot/ankle and lower limb pain and to help improve the quality of her patients feet. Many patients have been visiting Kate regularly at the Yew Tree Clinic for a number of years.
Kate lives locally and has three grown up sons. She retrained in chiropody when her youngest son started primary school having had a career break when her children were small. At this time she looked at her career options and was drawn to chiropody for a variety of reasons. “When I am asked why I chose chiropody, was it because I liked feet?” the answer is “because I like people”.
Kate lives locally and has many interests including cycling, theatre going, gardening, cooking along with spending time with her family.
Kate is currently available at the Yew Tree Clinic in Bristol from Monday to Thursday each week.
