BA Dip Counselling in Primary Health Care, MSc in Counselling, MBACP, MNCS (Snr Accred), Dip CBT. CPT (CIPD Trained) and possesses a diploma in CBT.
Stella is a qualified counsellor with a first degree in Health & Community Studies from the University of Liverpool. Her counselling qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in ‘Counselling in Primary Health Care Settings’ and a Master of Science in Counselling, both from the University of Bristol.
Her integrative approach to counselling, embodied within a person-centred counselling relationship, uses different models to suit the needs of individual clients and their issues.
Her belief is that clients have the capacity in themselves for growth and the ‘tools’ or resources to effect change in their lives, and that often change can be blocked by various situations in people’s lives which do not allow them to reach their full potential. In her view counselling is a way of exploring these processes to allow the individual to discover meaning and the way forward in their life.
