Joanna qualified as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner in 2017 She is registered with the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (ANP), The British Association for Applied Nutrition (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) which ensures that all practitioners maintain the National Occupation Standards of Practice.
Joanna developed an interest in nutrition and natural therapies during her first career in the television and theatre industry, where she worked in high pressure, demanding and stressful environments where one’s health is often their last priority. As a naturopathic nutritional therapist, Joanna understands the key nutrients required to support our busy lives and places emphasis on looking after the mind, body and soul. Her naturopathic approach to consultations is designed to support each client as an individual. Her focus is on overall health, wellness and disease prevention, identifying the cause and supporting the body’s inherent ability to heal itself using the least toxic and invasive therapies and the wonderful power of food as medicine.
Common symptoms Joanna sees in clinics are:
- signs of inflammation
- blood sugar imbalance
- low mood
- low energy
- hormone imbalances
- liver toxicity
- gastrointestinal problems
- food intolerances and allergies
Outside Yew Tree Clinic, Joanna enjoys long countryside walks and spending time amongst nature. She loves to travel and explore other countries and her favourite activities are sailing and climbing.
